Choosing

Continental bed or floor bed for co-sleeping?

5 λεπτά ανάγνωσης

Once the width is settled, the next choice is height: a tall continental bed or a low floor bed. Both give one continuous sleep surface — the difference is how high you lie, and what that means day to day.

The continental bed: tall, back-friendly and handsome

The continental bed is built in three layers — spring base, spring mattress and topper — landing at roughly 57–60 cm. It's easy to sit down on and rise from, it looks inviting, and it gives the feel of a proper grown-up bed. The lying comfort itself is the same as the floor bed's — the extra height is about looks and easy getting in and out, not about lying softer.

The floor bed: low and ~35% cheaper

The floor bed drops the spring base and builds in two layers — spring mattress and topper — so it sits low, about 32–35 cm off the floor. That gives it a lower sleeping height and a short distance to the floor. And because there's one layer fewer, it's ~35% cheaper than the continental bed.

Same surface, same quality

Whichever you choose, it's the same pocket springs, the same seamless topper and the same width from 140 to 400 cm. You're not trading comfort for price — you're choosing the height that suits your life right now.

Who suits which?

  • Prefer a lower sleeping height: floor bed
  • Want a tall, handsome bed and easy in/out: continental
  • Tight budget: floor bed (~35% cheaper)
  • Changing needs: start low, rebuild later

Συχνές ερωτήσεις

Is the floor bed less comfortable than the continental?
No. The surface is the same — same spring mattress and topper. The difference is height: the continental is taller and easier to get in and out of, the floor bed sits low.
Why is the floor bed cheaper?
It's built in two layers instead of three — it skips the spring base. Fewer materials mean a price 25% lower, with no compromise on the sleep experience itself.
How tall are the two beds?
The continental bed is about 57–60 cm tall, the floor bed about 32–35 cm, depending on which topper you choose.
