About Us
Founded by parents, informed by science. We believe every family deserves access to evidence-based information about safe co-sleeping.
For decades, the conversation around co-sleeping has been dominated by fear rather than facts. Parents who choose to share sleep with their babies — a practice as old as humanity itself — have been met with judgment, misinformation, and blanket prohibitions that ignore the nuance of the evidence.
Co-Sleeping Hub was created to change that narrative. We translate complex peer-reviewed research into practical, accessible information for families — drawing on the published work of leading sleep scientists, neuroscientists, and pediatric professionals.
We don't advocate for or against any particular sleeping arrangement. Instead, we believe in informed decision-making. Our content draws on peer-reviewed research from institutions like the University of Notre Dame, Durham University, and UNICEF UK's Baby Friendly Initiative.
Every article on our site is written by our editorial team and references the published work of qualified researchers and clinicians. We cite specific studies and always encourage readers to explore the primary sources.
Co-Sleeping Hub is an initiative supported by FamBed, a Scandinavian company that designs purpose-built family beds. While FamBed provides the platform and resources, our editorial content is independent and driven by the science.
Our articles are written by Kasper Bladt-Laursen and the Co-Sleeping Hub editorial team. We reference and cite the work of researchers like Dr. James McKenna, Prof. Helen Ball, Dr. Greer Kirshenbaum, and Lyndsey Hookway — independent professionals whose published research forms the scientific foundation of our content. Their inclusion on our site reflects our respect for their work; it does not imply endorsement of or affiliation with Co-Sleeping Hub.
Evidence over opinion. Every claim we make is backed by research. We cite our sources and encourage readers to explore the primary literature.
Respect for all families. There is no single "right" way to sleep with your children. We support families in making the safest possible choice for their unique circumstances.
Safety first, always. We are clear about when bedsharing is safe and when it is not. We never minimize genuine risk factors, and we always recommend room-sharing as an alternative when the Safe Sleep Seven criteria cannot be met.
No judgment. Whether you co-sleep, room-share, or use a separate nursery, you are welcome here. Our community is built on mutual support and respect.
